back from sabbatical

i have finally returned to the blogging world! it seemed like all i've done is work for the last month and a half, and i just couldn't drag myself to the keyboard to type out anything resembling coherent thought. hopefully i will be a much more frequent post-er once again. so, if i still have any kind of readership left (which i realize is highly doubtful at this point), i hope to keep you well-read in the coming months. then again, this might be just another one of those new year's resolutions that lasts about five minutes.
